Tacos La Toxica: Reviews & Ratings

This restaurant is in the back of a somewhat run down strip mall. However, that’s a sure sign the food is going to be good. The ladies are very helpful with ordering. Whatever you do, get the handmade blue corn tortillas! They’re the best corn tortillas I’ve ever had. The beef quesadilla with blue corn tortilla was so good. The Mexican street tacos were nice. The quesa birria taco, and mulitas were delicious, too. The salsa bar was interesting, but no real idea which was the spiciest, so just took a little of each. I preferred the two green ones the most, the yellowish one was decent, the dark red was a bit too spicy, and the flavor was harsh, to me. Definitely worth the walk here!

Food was great! I was craving for authentic tacos when we went for vacation in Anaheim and this restaurant was a walking distance from our hotel. They make so delicious tacos. Best tacos I ever had… The ladies that work there were so nice. Highly recommended.

We stopped by for their weekend street tacos ($2 each!!!) in the parking lot. This is a family run spot and the guy cooking gave us a few tacos to try in addition to the ones we paid for, and all were really good! BUT my favorites were the tripas (asked for crispy), lengua and asada. There's also birria but I only got the consumé, which was delicious. Salsa bar was great and the sauces were. We ate there standing so a few chairs would have been nice but no biggie!

This is a phenomenal, authentic old-school Mexican eatery bursting with flavor and priced right. You best believe the two ladies behind the counter know the meaning of auténtico. My tacos were cooked to order on homemade tortillas. I dressed mine up with some toppings from the salsa bar. When I sent a pic to my dad, he said “When they have radishes it’s usually a good bet.” He nailed it. I went with birria and carne asada. The meat is juicy and tender, with the perfect blend of spices and seasoning. The aromas from the grill made my mouth water. The condiment bar is loaded with different cremas, a tangy salsa verde with charred peppers, radish, onion, and carrot. This is an honest-to-goodness SoCal treasure and it’s only a few minutes from the Magic Park.

I wasn't sure how much I'd like this place. Most of the reviews were from Disney tourists, and the scene here is pretty basic. But I must say the tacos checked all the boxes. Very good and simple, real street tacos. Service was very warm. This was exactly what I needed.

I had been super excited to come here so I ordered a few things with my partner. We tried the tacos de asada and tacos con al pastor, as well as a mulita and a huarache. Everything was of about the same quality and I definetly left satisfied. The quality of the meats was high but it felt like they didnt have a lot of flavor, though the salsas all more than made up for it. Im not sure if I would come back based on the flavor but the price was very fair.

It was good but could be better. meat quality was ok but could be fresher but it’s a small family owned business. the location was kind of hidden and not many people when I went, so consistent might not always be there. Taco size is street tacos but a little bigger $2 Al pastor - it was good flavors but way too salty. Idk if I can finish the second one. It’s not like the fresh street taco al pastor it’s more like a ground meat texture. $3 tripa - never had it before to compare it too, but I enjoyed it it was nicely flavored. I’d get this again $4 Large jamaica - really refreshing after the salty tacos. They filled it with a lot of juice and light ice. It’s good but based on the other reviews photos asada looks like a better option. Friendly lady at the cash register, she speaks some English.
